About Nick Lubanski
Growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, competing in football, basketball, and baseball — and ultimately playing NCAA baseball in college — shaped who I am. That competitive drive never left me. I earned degrees in natural sciences and political science from Xavier University in 2019, then went on to the University of Dayton School of Law, and in 2025 I was admitted to the Indiana State Bar.
Outside of work, my life is full and joyful. I'm married to the love of my life, Cassidy — my wife, my partner, and my best friend — who is currently a fourth-year medical student. Our home is a busy and happy one, shared with three cats (Leo, Jasmine, and Siena) and two parakeets (Bee and Nia). Bee came into our lives in an unexpected way: in 2023, I did a double take at our bird feeder and realized a stray parakeet had landed there. I've never been able to look the other way when an animal needs help, so I built her trust over the course of a few days, caught her and did my best to find her owner. When no one came forward, we welcomed her in — and later brought home a companion so she'd never be lonely.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me watching sports, playing golf, birding, cooking, or playing in my dynasty fantasy football league. I’m a film and comedy fan, and something of a walking encyclopedia of random information with a particular specialty in animal facts. Whether it’s in the courtroom, on the golf course, or at the dinner table, I bring intention, persistence, and empathy to everything I do.
